China’s carbon dioxide emissions

Chinese government promise to reduce carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP in 2020 by 40 to 45 percent compared with the level of 2005.

If China’s GDP will crease by 8% per year till 2020, then it would be (1+8%)^15=3.17 times of it was in 2005. And if China keep its promose, reducing the carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP in by 45% that year, the total carbon dioxide emissions will the 3.17*55%=1.75 of it was in 2005.

US

America is putting forward a plan to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the United States in the range of 17 percent below 2005 levels by 2020.

China’s total carbon dioxide emissions will nearly double in 2020, while US will reduce the total amount by 17%.
