My former company uses Google Apps as their mail. The situation become terrible in China, Google Apps mail / Gmail become not stable and hard to access. The network administrator ask me for my consultation.
We can connect server A in the company to some server outside China via SSH Tunnel, and the PCs can use server A as proxy.
Firstly, we should install Tunnel apps on server A. I recommend Bitvise Tunnelier. After the installation, fill in the SSH account information, generate the .tlp and .md5 files.
Secondly, register Bitvise Tunnelier as the Windows system services using NSSM.
Key point: nssm install Tunnelied "X:\XXX\Tunnelier.exe" -loginOnStartup -profile="X:\XXX\X.tlp" -hostKeyFile="X:\XXX\X.md5"
Then, making the PAC file, including the websites we can to browser via the proxy. And Base 64 would be better. Then let they know the address of the PAC file, fill the PAC file address in the browser proxy setting.

This is a tricky question. Maybe becouse of the advertising strategies, different bioplastic suppliers have somewhat different definition. There is two grade of bioplastic in the market, the lower one and the higher one.
The lower grade bioplastic is made of resin mixed with Polypropylene of about 50%, corn starch of about 50% and some other additive. As the polypropylene, this grade of bioplastic cannot be biodegrade completely. The non-organic materials will become small pieces and be harmless. It can’t compost in composting facilities. They are just partly biodegradable.
The higher grade bioplastic is made of corn starch of more than 60% and other non-oil made materials, as PLA, PBS, PHBV. This grade of bioplastic is completely biodegradable and compostable, would compost in composting facilities or home compost bin in the help of the bacteria and micro-organisms, for 3 to 6 months with proper temperature and mosture.
The best way to identify the complete biodegradable and compostable bioplastic is check if meeting ASTM D6400 standards in US and EN 13432 standards in Europe.
The web hosting is not 100% online, and uptime monitoring service will send mail to notice the webmasters when the server is down. Take dreamhost for example, it is down every months.
I use the following uptime (and performance) monitoring serices:
Yuhuan was a small island in history, and there was Chumen Peninsula to north of Yuhuan Island over the narrow Xuanmen Channel. Therefore people should go out of Yuhuan island to Chumen Peninsula by little boat, very inconveniencely.
In 1960′s People wanted to change the traffic situation. Maybe people were not rich and Yuhuan was a small and economically backward place, so there was no money to build a bridge, and the goverment did’t think it was a good idea to spend a lot money to build a bridge in such an island. As a result, people build a dam which was cheaper to build connecting Yuhuan Island to Chumen Peninsula.
Happy Chinese Lunar New Year. Happy Spring Festival.
Get up early in the morning, check mail & Google Reader, clearning my room, had a simple lunch with my mother. Went to the supermarket, shopping with crowded people.
Afternoon, we put some uncooked food on the desk as sacrifice to ancestors. Shortly, 1 hour or 2 hours, then we can cook it as dinner. The sacrifice ceremony used to be very complicated and become very simple now. This is traditional Chinese culture, traditional Chinese way to momerise the ancestors and looking forward to good life in the new year.
Tomorrow will be the Chinese New Year & St. Valentine’s Day. May everyone be blessed with peace, prosperity and good health now and in the year ahead.
many websites are blocked in China, so proxy or VPN become absolute necessary to get information from the internet. I am using SSH Proxy supply by cosbeta for only USD 6$ whole year, it is fast and stable, satisfying me normally. But VPN is also necessary in some occasions when SSH Proxy don’t works well, though not frequently. For example, some software don’t support proxy.
VPN pay by month or years is to expensive to me for occasional use. It would cost me more than USD 50$ for a year. So the traffic volume based VPN would be a good choice. Pay as we use, and does not expire until all traffic volume is used. So I chose IVACY. It is cheap, 0.5€ or 0.7$ for 1 gidabyte traffic volume, 10€ or 14$ for 20 gidabyte is enough for one-year usage.

IVACY also accept payment monthly, unlimited volume. 10€ or 14$ for 1 month.
